Definitions

"We/us" means Bill Skinner, the seller of the goods. "You" means the customer acting as a consumer. "Courier" means Royal Mail or such other courier as we may choose. "Delivery date" means the date specified by the seller when the goods are to be delivered, however time is not of the essence of this contract. "Goods" means the items which you agree to buy from us the seller.

These Terms & Conditions shall apply to all contracts for the purchase of goods by you from us the seller to the exclusion of all other Terms & Conditions which you may purport to apply under any sales offer or purchase order. These Terms & Conditions supersede all previous agreements and understandings between the parties. Any amendment to the Terms & Conditions will only be effective if signed by a director of Bill Skinner.

Bill Skinner takes a great deal of care in ensuring that information which we obtain about you is treated appropriately and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We will not sell your personal information to any third parties.

We use the information that we collect about you to:

Process your order expeditiously and efficiently.

In order to enable the goods to be delivered to you we have to pass on your address to our third party couriers. If it is in our possession we will also pass on details of your telephone number in order to allow our couriers to contact you directly in the event of a query regarding delivery.

Contact you regarding forthcoming offers by email only. We will not telephone you unless the telephone call relates to a particular order that you have made. Credit card and debit card details are checked and verified by a third party and goods are only dispatched once authorisation has been obtained.

We may use information concerning you for payment recovery or to investigate any possible fraud in the event that credit or debit card payments have been used in a fraudulent manner. Please note that we may be required to disclose information concerning you if requested to do so by the police.

If you would like to see a copy of the personal data that Bill Skinner holds on you then please write to The Bill Skinner Studio Ltd, 14 High Street, Otford, Kent TN14 5PQ for the attention of the Data Protection Manager. There is a £5 fee for this service to cover our administration costs.

Returns Policy

If you do not like an item purchased from our online catalogue, for whatever reason or it is damaged or faulty, return it to us within 14 days of the delivery date together with the original packaging and completed returns note and we will either exchange the item or give you a full refund. We only refund the return postage cost when goods are either faulty or damaged.

Pierced earrings including earring pendants are non-returnable for reasons of hygiene and safety. Multi-branded retailers and stockists will adhere to their own exchange policy. This does not affect your statutory rights.

We will not accept any returns from CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE THE EU if Duty Charges were not paid by the customer on receipt of goods we are also unable to refund any duty paid on items returned to us either faulty or unsuitable as this is a contract between the purchaser and own country Customs & Excise.

PLEASE NOTE Bill Skinner will refund the GBP purchase price and takes no responsibility for exchange rate movements that may have occurred between the time of purchase and return. For exchanges or refunds please return to the address below, we advise all customers to return any items to us obtaining proof of postage or by "signed for" delivery as we cannot accept responsibility for goods not arriving with us. WARRANTIES

Our plated jewellery has a warranty of 6 months with proof of purchase. Please note that in order for the warranty to be valid you will have to return to us your faulty item in full in order to receive a replacement (excluding packaging). Our warranty does not entitle you to receive a replacement or refund for lost or stolen items.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

 

If your purchase does not come up to your expectations, please return it to us unused within 28 days, in its original packaging along with proof of purchase for a credit note (redeemable for two months) or exchange. For hygiene reasons we regret that earrings for pierced ears are non-returnable.

BILL SKINNER IN STORE  LOYALTY CARD ONLY - TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please note: due to the need for a technical development to our website, your loyalty card can only be used in-store at the moment. Thank you for your patience, we will notify you when loyalty cards can be used online.

By holding a Bill Skinner Loyalty card you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Your card is valid at all Bill Skinner shops, and is not currently valid online.

  1. Keep your card safe, Bill Skinner cannot be held liable for lost, stolen or damaged cards or the loss of benefits linked to that card.
  2. Your card must be shown at the till point at point of purchase. Purchases cannot be linked back to a card retrospectively, nor can benefits be retrospectively applied.
  3. Bill Skinner Loyalty cards are stamped in-store only. Loyalty stamps are calculated on your accumulated spend, and the following terms and conditions apply:
    a) You will receive one loyalty stamp for every £50.00 of accumulated spend instore.
  4. b) Your accumulated spend at Bill Skinner is calculated using net transaction value, after any discounts, Loyalty and promotions have been applied.
    c) The purchase of in-store gift vouchers, and gift cards, contribute towards your accumulated spend.
    d) The redemption of in-store gift vouchers, and gift cards, do not contribute towards your accumulated spend.
  5. e) Once a card has been stamped 10 times it can be exchanged for a £25.00 Bill Skinner Gift voucher which is redeemable against any purchase of £50.00 or more.
  6. The benefits of a card cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer (unless specified in communications). Bill Skinner reserves the right to exclude benefits of a card on special promotional days. Please read communications about these events carefully.
  7. Benefits cannot be used for the purchase of gift vouchers, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  8. The card is for the personal use by customers, and cannot be used for any business or commercial purpose.
  9. Use of a card does not constitute proof of purchase.
  10. Bill Skinner employees are not eligible for a card.
  11. The card is free and remains the property of Bill Skinner.
  12. Bill Skinner reserves the right to retract a card and benefits, request alternative forms of payment from customers who appear (at our sole discretion) to be using their card fraudulently to make purchases or redeem benefits in-store.

 

  1. Bill Skinner reserves the right to amend Terms & Conditions relating to the card at any time, including the cancellation of the card and any benefits if necessary.
